  We are from Ontario. We camped here 33 yrs ago, we camped here 17 yrs ago and we camped here in July/16. We love coming here because the view on the hill overlooking Bras d'or Lake is spectacular, especially at night. We are sad that the funding hasn't been kept up and the roads are bad throughout the park. But the washrooms are upgraded and spotless, thanks to the fellas who run the park. Nice grassy sites but you have to walk down a pretty steep hill to get to the showers.

  One of the best campground I have ever seen. The view from the higher campgrounds is absolutely spectacular, though driving up and down the hill is quite painful. Definitely deserves more popularity (and staff members!)

  Great campground, we arrived without a reservation-even though the main gate is manned we had to pay for our site over the provided phone, an unusual, seemingly unnecessary process when there was a person at the desk. None the less we were given site 12, loved the space. The facilities were clean, hot showers and washer/dryer And dish washing facilities. Including a picnic shelter building. Perfect location to start/end the cabot trail.

  Very cute little campground. Good spacing between most sites so you had your privacy. Sites were on different tiers which was neat. Upper sites have a great view of the lake. Each site we saw had a picnic table and fire pit. We tented but the yurts and cabins looked really nice. Very clean bathroom and showers (comfort station) that is closed daily between 1-3pm to get cleaned by staff. There is a laundry facility and same building you can wash your dishes there. Only con is lack of shade.
